Woman unimpressed by 'deceiving' £10 Lidl paddling pool for her dog

There's nothing like a dip in the paddling pool when the weather is scorching hot - that is, if you can fit your whole body in it. One woman has been left hilariously unimpressed after her 'bargain' dog pool arrived much smaller than expected.

Bethany Vawter Sweatt, 31, was looking to help her seven-year-old golden retriever Turbo cool down in the heat, when her mum mentioned a £10 ($13) pet pool from Lidl. She bought it from the discount retailer for Bethany's beloved pet, but they soon realised there wasn't much room for water or the dog.

The viral TikTok video shows the box, which displays a picture of a dog sitting comfortably in a pool about three times its size.

Then the camera pans to a priceless snapshot of comical Turbo who can barely fit into it.

"I didn't pay that much close attention to the dimensions apparently," Bethany chuckles.

The stay-at-home mum in South Carolina, US, posted the hysterical fail online where it has amassed over five million views.

She added: "The photo was a little deceiving! Turbo now has a much bigger pool to make up for it."

Another dog owner has been left feeling outraged after opening up a parcel she ordered online - and it wasn't what she'd hoped.

Dog owner Alex Murphy, 30, decided to buy her pooch Tony a paddling pool to help him cool down ahead of the next UK heatwave.

She spent £25 on a blue pop-up pool designed for animals, but couldn't believe her eyes when it arrived.

In her TikTok video that went viral, Tony's furry head is larger than the entire pool - so there's no chance of him having a dip in it.

The Mirror has contact Lidl for comment.
