Your wedding day is a day where you should be able to choose whatever you want to wear, so if your future life partner tried to control what you were going to put on, would you start to get second thoughts?
One woman was left horrified when her husband-to-be told her that she couldn't wear white to their wedding because she wasn't a virgin.
The man said she should "wear red" as "brides only wear white when they are pure" and she was mortified by his comments.
But in a recent update on Reddit, she shared that she got the sweetest revenge and people are thrilled.
In the original thread, she wrote: "It's exactly what the title says. I've been with my fiancé for six years and engaged for the past eight months. I've been doing most of the wedding planning but my fiancé, let’s just call him Ryan, will give his input here and there.
"So about a month ago, Ryan out of nowhere said he was talking to some of his coworkers and thought that I shouldn't wear a white dress."
She then explained the reason he gave as to why she shouldn't wear white, writing: "He told me brides only wear white when they are pure."

The distressed bride-to-be continued: "Ryan is still stating that me wearing white would be deceiving all of the guests and that it is different for guys. This all has honestly made me question even marrying this man.
"I don't know if it's just because everything is so fresh but I'm really disgusted by him. He's not even religious so I know this is just about him still thinking about me losing my virginity at 18 before I even knew him."
But the woman saw sense and decided not to marry him, and got the ultimate revenge by ditching him, and then she decided that she wanted to date again.
She took to Reddit's dating advice forum to write: "I'm in my late 20s and just broke off an engagement. This is going to be my first date in many many years."
She was wondering what she should wear to the date, but people were more invested in the fact that she'd gotten rid of her ex.
One person wrote: "I'm so glad you dumped that dude."
"I'm so happy for her", another gushed.
"Not a red dress. Glad to hear you broke it off!", someone else praised.
