A man was attacked in the street during a domestic assault this weekend.
Police have charged a woman after the man was attacked on Longmoor Lane, near a bus stop, at around 8am, on Saturday, August 6. The victim, in his 60s, was treated in hospital for a neck injury. Police say the injury was caused by an "unknown implement."
A 37-year-old woman was later arrested and charged. Officers have charged Tammy Cheshire, of Fraser Street, Liverpool city centre, with Section 18 wounding with intent.

Cheshire will appear in court this morning. the victim has since been released from hospital after treatment.
A spokesperson for Merseyside police said: "We have arrested and charged a woman following a domestic assault in Walton on Saturday, 6 August. At around 8am, reports were received of a man being injured and enquiries led officers to Longmoor Lane, where further enquiries were carried out, including forensics and CCTV.
"A man in his 60s was found at hospital with a neck injury, caused by an unknown implement. He was released following treatment. 37-year-old Tammy Cheshire of Fraser Street, Liverpool was arrested and has been charged with Section 18 wounding with intent. She will appear in court this morning, Monday 8 August."
