Woman text boyfriend 'all fine darling' after getting tube and disappearing for 15 years

A woman who text her boyfriend saying that everything was fine before jumping on the tube, has not been seen for more than 15 years.

Elena Zhagorova was last spotted at Highgate tube station in London after travelling to pick up her passport, but never returned home to her partner.

Despite public appeals for information, a police investigation and an open letter published online appealing for information, there has been no trace of Elena for over 15 years, and her family remain in the dark as to her whereabouts, My London reports.

Known to her friends as Elena or Alyona, she was born in Latvia on January 31, 1970 and relocated to London in 1991 in search of better job opportunities.

Described as being 5ft 5inches tall with shoulder-length, fair hair, she was proficient in English and had been working in the UK for 17 years by the time of her disappearance.

In a letter posted to the website Missing Madeleine, a friend wrote that the 38-year-old had returned to work at the beginning of May 2008, following a serious depression, and her return to employment had set off another spiral downwards.

It was reported that the day before she went missing on May 21, she had attended a doctor's appointment with her partner which had not had a satisfactory outcome.

The following morning, she texted her partner to say "'All fine darling - look out for new things - love A. xx', which was the last time she would have contact with her loved ones.

She had also travelled from her home in Tottenham into Central London to collect her passport.

At the time she arrived, Elena was told it wasn't ready and to come back in three hours, but she never returned.

On her last known movements, a friend spoke to her on the phone shortly afterwards and invited her around for dinner later that evening.

At the time, she was walking around Hyde Park whilst waiting for her passport and said that she'd consider the evening plan.

Elena then took a Tube back to Highgate station, arriving at approximately 1.30pm.

Police were able to detect that the last time she consulted her mobile phone was 4.30pm, when the trail runs cold.

At this time, she was near her doctor's surgery and near an allotment that she shared with her flatmates.

After becoming concerned for her welfare, her partner contacted her friends in the morning of May 22, after failing to receive a response to any text messages.

He was told that she hadn't arrived home the previous evening and was then informed that the police were at her flat.

An investigation was launched and searches were undertaken of nearby woods and lakes, but Elena's friends and family were unable to uncover more information about her final whereabouts.

Aside from a false sighting a few weeks later, she has remained missing for 15 years.
