A woman was taken to hospital after being hit by a car which mounted a pavement and ploughed into a Main Street shop.
The horror incident unfolded in Prestwick this lunchtime when the vehicle collided with the front of the Savers health and beauty shop.
A pedestrian caught up in the incident was taken to Ayr Hospital with police describing her injuries as "non-life threatening".
The driver of the vehicle was unhurt.
We told earlier how the Main Street had been shut down by cops with emergency services diverting traffic away from Prestwick's thoroughfare for around 45 minutes.
One eyewitness said: "It looks like the car has mounted the pavement and managed to stop just in time before ploughing inside the Savers shop itself.
"The car has come to a stop right in the doorway and looks like it has broken the front window.
"It must have been a pretty terrifying moment."
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.40pm, police were called to the Main Street area of Prestwick, following a report of a car crashing into a building.
“Emergency services attended and a woman, a pedestrian, was taken to Ayr Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the car was not injured.
“The road was closed and re-opened around 1.30pm.”
