BELAGAVI(KARNATAKA): Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara on Tuesday reassured the assembly that stringent action would be taken against the perpetrators who allegedly assaulted a woman, stripped her, and tied her to an electric pole in a village in the district.
This incident occurred after her son eloped with a girl engaged to someone else. Parameshwara pledged protection for the young couple and the victim's family while emphasizing the need for a societal mindset change to prevent such "inhuman" acts from recurring.
