A woman has been stabbed and a man run over with a car after an altercation with another man.
Police were called to a property in Piangil, near the Victorian regional town of Swan Hill, around 9pm on Monday following reports items were being set on fire and thrown over a fence.
Investigators allege a man got into a white four-wheel-drive and deliberately drove into another man before crashing into a wall of a property, trapping the other man under the vehicle.
They said the man then got out of the four-wheel-drive and stabbed a woman before fleeing the scene.
The 52-year-old Piangil man later handed himself into police and was taken into custody.
The 61-year-old man and 47-year-old woman, also from Piangil, were both taken to hospital in a serious condition.
The trio is believed to be known to each other.
