Picking a name for your kid can be one of the toughest jobs going as a new parent as you want to find one that is just right.
The big challenge is finding something unique that makes them stand out but not so much that it might draw negative attention and teasing as they get older.
And for one woman this is the debate she is currently having with herself as her partner has suggested a name for their baby boy that she really likes but she is worried that it might lead to teasing later down the line.
In a Reddit post, she has asked for advice as to whether to use this name.
The woman who remained anonymous, wrote: "My husband and I are expecting our first baby and found out we’re having a boy.
"My husband suggested Atlas."
She was torn as she knows the name is not so common so the boy is likely to stand out but she is worried it might get some negative attention.
In the comments, the name divided opinion as many liked it but thought they would not call their own kid Atlas.
One person, who was keen on the moniker, wrote: "I actually think it’s becoming a pretty common (and trendy) name."
Another agreed and stated: "My nephew is named Atlas! I love it and so do their parents."
However, another felt the name was nice but maybe not for a child: "I love the name Atlas and have considered it for a dog, but wouldn’t use it for a child."
A third also felt it could be more fitting for something else: "My husband suggested this for our last kid. We ended up going another direction. Then a friend named their dog Atlas. I was glad we picked something else."
