Woman slammed over 'dating test' she gives men but others say it's common sense

A woman has taken to TikTok to share her thoughts on the dating scene revealing she has a test that she puts men through to see if they are able to "provide and protect" her.

In order for the man to pass, the TikTok user @respectfullygabby, has said that the "back and forth" conversation and 50/50 split has to stop stating "he needs to be paying 100 per cent and if he's not goodbye."

Giving an example of a date she had, Gabby said another test is all about safety - which seems fair - however the move has been slammed in the comments as not many think she made the right move.

She recalled a time when she booked an Uber to get home after having a few drinks with a guy at a bar in Miami, Florida. The man's Uber arrived first and instead of leaving, he offered to wait with her until hers arrived, but Gabby declined and said he could go.

She then revealed he got into his Uber and left.

She added: "If you don’t care about my safety and making sure I get into my Uber safely, you're done. This man failed my protection test."

Gabby said the men didn't pass her test. (@respectfullygabby)

The last test she said was she will tell her date she is cold in the hopes they will give her his coat and "if you don't, you're dead to me" but if he does, she won't take it "because h*** don't get cold."

Since being posted, the video has racked up more than 20,000 likes and 10,000 comments and almost 200,000 views.

The comments were mixed with many saying that they agree with Gabby - but other's were quick to point out she was being too harsh.

One person said: "If a guy doesn’t make sure I get home safely after our date, I won’t go out with him again, no matter how good the date was."

However another person added: "You told him to go ahead…Instead tell him thank you and you’d appreciate him waiting with you."

A third commented: "He needs to pay for every date!! I’ve never paid in my entire life."

Another TikTok user added: "Normally I don’t agree with tests because it’s all about being sincere..but this is just common sense stuff to look out for the lady your with."

A fifth wrote: "Men don’t need to provide and protect for every single woman that they meet. You're confusing a 1st date with a husband or serious boyfriend."

And another added: "Test this test that. What are we in high school? Stop with the games and communicate!! Way too grown for all this."
