Woman shot dead seven years after brother was killed in mistaken identity attack

A 'beautiful' young woman has been shot dead in a shocking case of mistaken identity, just years after her brother was killed in similar circumstances.

It is believed that Ashley Dale, 28, was not the 'intended target' when she was fatally gunned down in a Liverpool garden, shortly after midnight on Sunday, August 21. Attackers barged through her front door, and "indiscriminately" fired at Ashley on multiple occasions, local police revealed.

Merseyside Police were treating the shooting as a targeted attack, but say Ashley was not the person who the evil thugs were after. Paramedics rushed to save her but she was pronounced dead a short while later in hospital, reports the Liverpool Echo.
