With high energy prices piling on extra strain this winter, many will be looking for cost-effective ways to dry their clothes in a hurry, without having to use the tumble dryer. Now one woman, who had been struggling to keep on top of her laundry, has shared a smart hack for drying clothes cheaply in just two hours, and you don't need to necessarily have tonnes of space either.
Postwoman Alix Byrne, who lives in a one-bedroom apartment with her boyfriend Andrew, found she just couldn't find the space to hang out her clothes, despite having numerous airers. However, inspiration struck one day while the 24-year-old was putting out her bedding to dry, in what she's since described as her "eureka moment".
