Woman shares egg flipping hack for no broken yolk that has been called 'genius'

Eggs are one of the most versatile foods, as they are used in countless recipes and are also a popular main dish.

From poached, to scrambled to boiled, egg lovers are always looking for new ways to perfectly cook the kitchen staple. Now, one cooking enthusiast has shared her tip to get the best fried egg without breaking the yolk - and people are calling it a "game-changer".

Sharing her culinary wisdom on social media, TikToker Brooke regularly tries popular recipe trends and posts her results, as well food reviews and tips. Known as @mealsandmunchies on the app, she demonstrates a nifty way to flip the fried egg with no spatula.

In the clip which has garnered over 100,000 likes, the foodie instead uses the lid from a pan, which she places the eggs onto before flipping. Then, she turns the frying pan upside down over the lid, then quickly flips both of them right side up before cooking the eggs as normal, the Mirror reports.

It's not just fried eggs this trick can be used on. Her video caption added that it: "Works for an open faced omelette too." In response, several viewers were quick to praise the idea. "Thank you. yoke lovers understand," read one reply.

Not only does the result look delicious but it is great for anyone who dislikes flipping eggs with a spatula, according to a comment left by the foodie. She said: "My spatula flips often break the eggs. And this doesn't."

A second said: "The amount of eggs we eat a week. Game changer! Thanks for sharing!" While another penned: "This is a excellent idea" A fourth viewer dubbed it as "genius".

However, not everyone was so convinced. Some commenters struggled to understand why people might find the tip helpful. One comment liked 900 times said: "I just use a spatula."

A different person quipped: "Or I would invent an implement with a broad, flat, blunt blade, used for mixing or FLIPPING things. especially in cooking. I would call it SPATULA." But the foodie replied: "You've never unsuccessfully flipped an egg with a spatula? This is just an easy way to not mess it up."
