Woman shares £84 manicure fail that has some saying she should demand a refund

When we part with money for a service, we expect to get what we paid for - so it can be frustrating when something like a haircut, tattoo, or manicure goes horribly wrong.

And one woman on TikTok has decided to share her recent nail salon failure with the world after her nail technician seemingly ignored the picture she'd brought in for reference and ended up giving her a disastrous manicure.

Wyndi, from the US, confessed she spent $100 (£84) in the hopes of bagging a simple yet effective "French ombre coffin" design in white and pale pink, the Daily Star reports.

But after showing her nail technician a picture of what she wanted, she left the salon unhappy - as she was given chunky square nails with almost no ombre pattern at all, that were much shorter than she wanted.

In the video, she explained: "I went and got my nails done. This is what I wanted, but this is what the f**k I got."

Wyndi, who posts under the username @wynnndi7, also captioned the clip: "I even told him I didn't like them."

The mum-of-three's video has been viewed over 160,000 times, and many commenters were quick to tell her she should go back to the nail salon and demand her money back.

One person said: "Wyndi you need to go back and tell him you’re not happy and have them redo them, or at least take them off and give you your money back."

While another added: "No ma’am they would have redone my nails or I’m not paying."

And a third said: "Make them give your money back. They know they can get away with it because we are too nice. I’m sorry that happened."

Wyndi also revealed she planned on going to another nail salon to get the manicure redone by another technician, whom she hoped would fix the problem.

She said: "I told him I didn’t like them at all and he said 'Yes you will you’re just not used to them'. I'm on the way to another place right now."

Wyndi later posted a follow-up video in which she showed off the second manicure she had received, which she said was "a lot better", giving her the shape and the length that she wanted.
