Most dogs love food - and would do anything for an extra treat.
But one owner has shamed her "lazy dog" who would rather starve than work for his dinner.
Explaining how she wanted to keep her pet's mind active, the woman replaced her dog's standard bowl with a puzzled-shaped one.
Puzzle bowls provide pets with obstacles to navigate in order to reach their food - and can help dogs slow their eating and increase the feeling of fullness.
But after just one meal, the woman quickly realised her dog wasn't at all interested in eating out of his new bowl.
When sharing a picture of the dog bowl on social media, she wrote: "Free dog food puzzle bowl.

"Apparently my dog would rather starve than work for his food. Maybe your dog is smarter."
The picture, which has since been shared on Reddit, has received more than 600 upvotes and numerous comments from dog owners who have all tried out a puzzle bowl on their pets.
One user said: "I just got this exact bowl for my dog. I got tired of him inhaling his dinner. We’ve had it one night, and I’m loving it! I got an extra one for when we eat at my parent's."
Another user said: "My auntie's bull terrier is a total darling and is very gentle. She also has one of these bowls but she just scoops the food equally as fast with her tongue and chomps it down violently before going belly up."
A third user said: "We have this exact one for our puppy that would finish his dog food in seconds.
"The first few times he used it, he would walk in a circle trying to get food and when he couldn’t get any he would get frustrated and just paw at it until it flipped.
"He’s nine months now and still uses it to eat."
It comes after a new study revealed failing to wash your dog's food bowl on a regular basis could not only affect their health, but yours too.
The research, undertaken by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), investigated dog owners' feeding habits and evaluates the impact of FDA's hygiene protocols on dog food dish contamination.
They found only 12 per cent of the 417 dog owners surveyed wash their dog's dish daily, 22 per cent clean it once a week, while another 18 per cent wash it every three months or not at all.
The FDA states this "poses significant health risks to pets and pet owners" as it create an environment where harmful bacteria, such as salmonella and listeria, can thrive.
