Woman sexually assaulted on London train by man who urinated in carriage

A woman was sexually assaulted on board a south-east London train by a man who urinated on the carriage floor.

British Transport Police said the attack happened on-board a train between Dartford and New Eltham on April 4.

Just after 2pm, as the train pulled into New Eltham, a man travelling with a group urinated in the train’s carriage, said police.

He then threw a seat cushion at another passenger.

The woman boarded the train at New Eltham and the man made an inappropriate comment towards her and sexually assaulted her.

He then got off at New Eltham before the train left the station.

Officers said in an appeal on Wednesday that they were keen to speak to the man in the CCTV images as he may have information that could help with their investigation.

They are also keen to speak to anyone on-board the train who may have witnessed the incident.
