Woman sent mystery box left amazed after finding $70,000 inside strange package

A woman who was sent a mysterious box was left stunned when she found $70,000 inside - and the offer of private security.

Kaitlyn Siragusa, from Texas, US, also goes by the name of "Amouranth", is a popular professional Twitch streamer who was sent a strange package on her livestream, decided to open up the contents in front of her huge following.

The 29-year-old, who has 6.1million followers, is seen sitting on the floor looking at the contents inside the mysterious package when she made the baffling discovery.

She said: "A Taser, an iPhone, this is so strange...is this a YouTuber who is trying to pull a prank on me or something? $10,000 (£8,200)... $20,000 (£16,400), these are a bunch of $5,000 (£4,100).

"What the actual f***? This has to be a YouTuber..."

The streamer also found a letter inside the box which offered her a private bodyguard service which she could activate if she wanted.

She added: "Lastly I have included a new phone, all you have to do is to activate the service. The plan you activated is pre-paid, no one except you will know the number."

Amouranth was offered private security and "can call them in the event of an emergency" which left her freaked out as she paused before speaking.

Kaitlyn, who was left speechless, said: "That was it, there's not like a creepy 'run away with me', 'please marry me' like there normally is.

"It's just 'here's your stuff, have a good life'."

Her subscribers were left amazed that she didn't seem to raise an eyebrow at the staggering $70,000 (£57,000) cash which was left inside the box.

However, one user was sceptical of the contents of the box as they believed the large amount of money would have been flagged in the mailing system.

They wrote: "Mailing $70k cash to anything like a PO Box is going to be flagged and investigated."

Another user believed the opening of the box was a "publicity stunt" as one of her followers claimed they would have posted the contents of the box back to the sender.

The user said: "The publicity stunt worked. I would send it back to whoever sent this."

Kaitlyn hit back at the negative comments and said it was a nerve-wracking experience to open the box as there could have been dangerous items inside.

She added: "You might be enthused but for me it was a bit nerve-wracking doe to second order considerations."
