A woman’s Pandora ring lost a gem while she was folding clothes at work, despite having owned it for around a year. It turns out, other people have had extremely similar experiences with their Pandora items, with gems falling out or rings breaking with wear and tear.
It started when TikToker Ismar (@user3039015253031) noticed that her Pandora pink bow ring was missing a gem on the right side. “Not only that, [but] two of the gems came off the sides…” she added. The video she posted has since garnered 177,000 views, with viewers sharing similar stories.
Ismar clarified that she had the ring since her birthday last year, so it was purchased in 2025. Considering this, many commenters argued that Pandora rings are a “scam.” Some even claimed that the company creates “SHEIN” level products, generating heated debate in Ismar’s comments section.
Do Pandora rings have notable issues with gems falling out?
Surprisingly, commenters had identical experiences to Ismar. One commenter even included a photo of a Pandora pink bow ring with the exact same jewel removed on the right side.
Other viewers shared that their Pandora rings tarnished after very little time. Then, there were even some who lost jewels “two days” after purchasing a ring from the company. It’s left many people wondering, does Pandora have notable issues with jewel setting? Are Pandora rings actually “built to last?”
Pandora rings are also notable for having some issues: noticeable scratches, missing jewels or precious stones, and setting or band complications. Simple polishes in-store can create real complications for bracelets, rings, and other items based on previous customers’ experiences. That, alongside general reports of poor craftsmanship, paints a picture of the company having less than high-quality products.
For instance, on r/engagement rings, a person questioned the quality of Pandora rings. They asked, “Will the sterling silver turn my finger green or tarnish fast? Cheap rings turn them green and tarnish fast for me, but I don’t know what they’re made of. [I don’t know] if Pandora will do the same.”
A Redditor replied, saying, “My coworker bought his wife a Pandora engagement ring. He’s replaced it at least four times that I know of.”
Others, however, disagreed. Some argued that Pandora rings can last eight or more years, using personal photos and experiences as testimony. Then others replied, saying that they had the exact same ring that was “scratched to all [expletive]” with multiple stones missing.
The consensus, then, seems to be that products from Pandora can be very inconsistent. Some people receive rings that last for years if not decades, and others notice wear and tear after a small amount of time.
What other companies do commenters recommend switching to?
While there were a few diehard fans of Pandora in the comments section of Ismar’s video, many had alternative suggestions for high-quality jewelry companies. James Avery came to mind. One viewer sharing a photo of her perfectly preserved rings and jewelry from the company.
Contrasting that recommendation, some shared that Amazon has a pink bow ring that’s “brighter” and better in person. It’s apparently cheaper, too, although the commenter did not identify the exact ring in question.
Is Pandora worth the pricetag?
Considering the quality issues, there are people who wonder whether Pandora is worth its price point. Pandora offers Pink Bow rings on its website for $90-$110, depending on the material and color. For that price, many argue that the rings shouldn’t be falling apart. But, it’s apparently known that these rings have some quality issues.
“Pandora is SHEIN with [a] clear coat,” one viewer stated. Others asked what Ismar and other Pandora purchasers would expect, given other customers’ experiences with the product.

What does Pandora recommend customers do?
Pandora does advise its former customers regarding jewelry settings. Specifically, the company has a guide on “what to do if a stone falls out.” It notes that customers should reach out to the company with any issues.
In one blog post published by Pandora, a representative answered a customer’s question asking what she should do with her sister’s Intricate Lattice Clear CZ ring, which was missing some stones. The representative then recommended that the customer contact Pandora to get a direct replacement, as “Many PANDORA stores are happy [to replace stones] even after one year from purchase. It is down to the manager’s discretion.”
So, stones may fall out of Pandora rings. But don’t fret. There’s a good chance the company’s representatives will be willing to assist and replace items, sometimes even without a warranty.
The Mary Sue reached out to Pandora’s press email and Ismar via TikTok direct message for comment.
