A make-up artist is hoping to help struggling families send their children to their school proms.
Chantelle Knight, from Warrington, is offering free make-up in the hope of helping to take the "edge off" the costs for families. She decided to offer the service after noticing many families struggling during the current cost of living crisis.
The beautician, who owns CK Beauty and Aesthetics, said: “You see people struggling all the time. If it takes that little bit of an edge off people who are struggling, then I’m more than happy to do it.

“Prom is very expensive; I didn’t actually go to my own prom, but I know from family experiences how expensive I can be.
“If I was paying for my own daughter’s prom, I don’t think I would ask for help because it’s something I’d want to provide myself. But I don’t think it’s something people should be embarrassed about.”
Chantelle works across Wirral, Warrington, Liverpool, St Helens, and Cheshire. She is offering a mobile make up service for proms.
Depending on your chosen salon, prom make-up across Liverpool can cost up to £45. Chantelle posted in a local Facebook group and has since been praised for her offer.
