Ring cameras are a great investment for anyone looking to keep an eye on their front door or to tell delivery drivers to leave their parcels somewhere if they aren't at home. Since they have risen in popularity in recent years, the video doorbells have also caught footage of some seriously dramatic blunders - and they sometimes help people catch something happening with just seconds to spare.
One woman was left shocked when she was about to head into her house only to realise that her car handbrake wasn't on properly, nearly causing a disaster. The panic-filled moment was caught by her Ring video doorbell camera, as she dashed towards her vehicle to stop it from running into a neighbou r's house.

Taking to TikTok to share the subsequent footage, Beth Jai, who posts under the social media handle @ bethjaix, was able to laugh about the stressful moment after it happened, as she captioned her post: "I love what the Ring camera catches hahaha" with the hashtag #handbrakefails.
The clip shows Beth unlocking her door and thankfully turning round at just the right moment, to find her car gradually rolling backwards on her driveway.
The vehicle had reached the middle of the road by the time she paced over and opened the door, meaning she had just seconds to spare to stop her car in its tracks before it ploughed into her neighbour's double garage.
Beth's car horn beeps as she scrambles to pull the breaks, with the driver's seat door still open. She then drives her car back onto her driveway, before sitting silently in the car for a while, presumably in shock at what just happened.
The viral video, which has amassed more than two million views to date, saw over a thousand people flock to the comments section to share their shock.
One person wrote: "Reacted very quickly. Very good. But also careless at the same time. No offence" to which Beth replied "my favourite comment".
Another TikTok user added "that could've been an expensive mistake" while someone else commended the young woman's efforts, writing "What a save!".
After some people asked Beth for a follow-up video to show her reaction to the ordeal, she posted another clip onto her TikTok. This time, she's seen walking towards her front door once more, with her hand on her chest in relief.
