VADODARA: The JP Road police registered an offence against the estranged boyfriend of Nafisa Khokhar who had ended her life by hanging herself at her residence in the Tandalja area of the city on June 20. Nafisa (25) had recorded a series of videos at the Sabarmati riverfront in Ahmedabad ruing the fact that her boyfriend had betrayed her.

Nafisa’s sister Sultana Khokhar filed a complaint at the JP Road police station naming Ramiz Sheikh as the accused. The offence was registered under section 306 of the Indian Penal Code accusing Sheikh of abetment of suicide.
