A woman’s body has been located in a river following a large-scale search operation in Cork.
The 60-year-old was recovered from the Bandon River on Saturday following the coordinated operation.
Gardai were assisted by Bandon Fire Brigade, Kinsale/Seven Heads Coast Guard, Civil Defence, the Cork City Missing Persons Search and Recovery Unit, and Munster Lowland Search Dogs.

The body was taken to the mortuary at Cork University Hospital and a coroner has been notified according to a statement given today.
A garda spokesperson said: "Following a search operation in the Bandon area of Co. Cork, the body of a female (60s) was located at the Bandon River on Saturday, 10 th September 2022.
"The body of the woman was taken to the mortuary at Cork University Hospital.
"The Coroner was also notified."
The Cork City Missing Persons Search and Recovery volunteers confirmed they were amongst those who responded, and thanked their emergency service colleagues who also came out to help with the efforts.
They said: "CCMPSAR volunteers were requested today by Ań Garda Síochána to assist in a missing persons search in the Bandon area.
"We immediately responded with two vehicles, search boat and drone team .
Shortly after our arrival CCMPSR volunteers recovered the missing. RIP
"We wish to pass on our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
“We would like to thank Bandon Fire Brigade, Kinsale/Seven Heads Coast Guard,Civil Defence West and Ań Garda Síochána for their help today .We would also like to thank Munster Lowland search dogs who were stood down en route."
It's understood that the death is being treated as a tragic incident.
