A body has been recovered from the water after it was found near a small Cork village on Sunday.
Emergency services in the area were alerted to the discovery near the Coachford Greenway walkway/cycling route this weekend.
The woman’s body was taken from the water by the emergency services and subsequently transported to Cork University Hospital.

The coroner was notified and a postmortem examination will take place.
A Garda spokesperson confirmed to CorkBeo that they attended the incident. In a statement, they said: "Gardaí were alerted following the discovery of a body in the water near Coachford Greenway, Co. Cork yesterday afternoon, Sunday, April 23, 2023.
"The body was recovered from the water by Emergency Services and taken to Cork University Hospital for a post-mortem examination. The Coroner has been notified."
