A woman, who went on a two-week holiday to Eygpt, ended up being covered in painful bedbugs from a bed in the hotel she was staying in. Abbie, 19, has since been awarded compensation.
Her bites were so bad that she saught medical help on holiday. Doctors told her they'd never seen bedbug bites so severe and she had to be given antihistamine injections and antibiotics to help her recover.
The bites ruined Abbie's two-week trip to the resort of Hurghada in Egypt leaving her in pain and feeling embarrassed. The swelling and itching from the bedbug bites left her unable to sunbathe or fully enjoy her holiday due to the medication she had to take, and when she used the hotel pool she was asked if she had an infectious disease, Yorkshire Live reports.
