Firefighters were forced to step in to make a dramatic rescue - after a woman in the US found herself trapped by her sofa.
53-year-old Melissa was attempting to move her sofa downstairs into the basement with the help of her partner Todd, 55, when it became wedged on the staircase. Melissa unfortunately found herself on the wrong side of the sofa, becoming trapped beneath it in the basement in a situation worthy of a Friends episode.
Melissa ended up being stuck in the unfortunate predicament for three hours as Todd and her daughter Claire, 23, attempted to dislodge the sofa. But after having no luck, even after Todd resorted to making a hole in the wall, the family eventually gave up and called the fire brigade, WalesOnline reports .
