A Bumble match’s first-date plans turned into a three-app ordeal, according to a woman who says the man kept finding new ways to contact her after she cut him off. In a video posted under the handle wrek, she laid out how a disagreement over where to meet eventually led her to block and report him.
She says the man wanted their first meeting to be a hike, but when she suggested a park instead, he wouldn’t budge. “I’m not going into the woods with or into the middle of nowhere with someone I don’t even know,” she says in the clip. When he suggested going for a drive instead, she turned that down too. “I do not wanna be alone with you sir,” she says while recounting the exchange to the camera.
From there, she says he asked for her address so he could pick her up, saying he wanted to “be a gentleman.” She refused. “You can be a gentleman in a million ways and you being super pushy right now is not the way to be a gentleman,” she says. That, along with what she describes as his aggressive tone, led her to block him on Bumble.

But blocking him on the app didn’t end the interaction. She says he never had her full name or phone number, yet she received a Facebook message from him shortly after she blocked him. She says she has no confirmed explanation for how he found her account and only speculated that he may have saved photos from her Bumble profile. After blocking him there too, she says he found her on Instagram. That was when she returned to Bumble to file a report and laid out what she says had happened.
Commenters focused less on any one part of the story than the way it kept escalating. “The mere suggestion of going for a hike would’ve eliminated him for me,” one person wrote.

I’m serious, he sounds like a stalker!” The reaction recalls other dating-app stories in which someone allegedly continued finding ways to contact or keep tabs on a match after the initial interaction ended, including an account of a man who allegedly showed up at a woman’s mother’s funeral months after one date.
She says she stopped hearing from him after reporting him, but the experience stayed with her. She still keeps his information and says she watches the news to see if his name ever turns up. Her experience isn’t the only Bumble-related story in which an unwanted interaction allegedly continued beyond the app, as one Bumble BFF match later turned into what the woman involved described as a stalking incident.
She’s now considering posting about him in one of those “Are We Dating the Same Guy?” groups to warn others.
