Woman raves about £2 Primark product 'everyone needs' to remove hair from hairbrush

Clumped-up hair is never pretty to look at, whether it is stuck in your hairbrush, down the drain, or at the back of your washing machine. It's not so nice to clean, either.

Thankfully, there's an easy fix for anyone who hates pulling hair out of their brushes. TikTok fans are going wild over a £2 Primark product that does the job for you and saves you needing to touch the hair at all.

Instead of pulling strand by strand, simply use the cleaning tool to remove any clumps. As one impressed customer demonstrated in a viral TikTok, it's really that easy.

@wikikarox was so impressed she reckons 'everyone needs' the bargain gadget, called a hairbrush cleaning tool.

Her video, which compares her hairbrush before and after using the product, wracked up over 70,000 views in the day since it was posted. It also prompted a debate on how best to clean your brushes after she wrote: "This is a sign to clean your nasty hair brushes."

One person commented: "I just do it by hand," to which the video's creator replied: "I did too, but this is so much easier." A second advised: "Just get a tailcomb and use the metal ends to scoop the hair out." Meanwhile, another suggested: "Use a fork that's what I use."

Regardless, several others were impressed by the nifty product. "This is genius and I need it!" thought one commenter. Someone else agreed: "This is what I need."

According to the TikTok user's post, the tool costs £2, but in good news for anyone keen to try one out, the cleaner is currently available on Primark's website for £1.50.

Recently, TikTok users were shocked to learn the truth behind the grey lint sometimes found on hairbrushes - and why it is so important to clean them. As TikTok user @jennmarsala explained: "It is actually dead skin cells and sebum, along with old matted hair and hair product residue, which creates bacteria and your hairbrush is becoming more and more contaminated with every stroke."
