Homeowners and tenants alike will find that mould creeps up on them when they least expect it, but even more so during the colder months. With winter not far away, a woman has started to find signs of mould in her home but thankfully has found an inexpensive £1 product to banish it.
Taking to popular video-streaming service TikTok, Ami - who boasts more than 229,000 followers on account @positivami - shared a video using the product first-hand and showing off its potential.
Captioning the post of her clip, which has exceeded 110,000 views, she wrote: "Not a nice thing to find at 10pm."
She explained: "It's that time of year where mould starts creeping in and this is our first winter in this house, so I was very very annoyed and upset to move the fridge back and find all of this."
Despite Ami's upset, she was amazed with the quick response of Astonish's £1 product - the Mould and Mildew Blaster Spray.
Upon using the item, it rid of the pesky mould in Ami's home within a matter of minutes.
"This astonish mould spray is literally incredible!" She gushed.
Without even having to wipe down the surface, the mould was nowhere to be seen after Ami used a quick spritz of the product.
She said: "This is it without even wiping it off and just leaving it for five minutes. Then I just wipe the rest of it away and it looks as good as new!
"Obviously, I know this isn't a complete cure for it and I will try and keep on top of it, but for a £1 spray you can't go wrong."
Flocking to the comments, TikTokers gushed over Ami's inexpensive method rid of the mould - while others praised her for normalising the situation.
"Actually think this is a really helpful video," one person admitted. "I'm sure most people can get really embarrassed about having mould but with most situations it's unavoidable so thank you for normalising!"
A different user shared an alternative money-saving method: "We have an electric dehumidifier and we just move it to the room we need it to work in. It costs us 14p an hour which is so good!"
Another person agreed: "We always get it this time of year and we use the mini dehumidifiers from Amazon and they work fab. Need changing after like six weeks ish."
