Woman races home for Love Island and ends up in handcuffs

  • An Arizona woman was arrested for driving 108 mph in a 65-mph zone, saying she was rushing home to watch the reality TV show 'Love Island'.
  • The Arizona Department of Safety Highway Patrol announced her arrest for criminal speed and reckless driving.
  • Her vehicle was impounded for 20 days following the incident in Pinal County on June 9.
  • In a separate incident during the same weekend roundup, another driver was arrested for going 93 mph in a 50 mph zone.
  • This second driver claimed he was on his way from church and unaware of criminal speed laws; he was also booked for criminal speed and reckless driving, with his car released to a passenger.
