Woman on train from London to Scotland defends not giving up seat for OAP

A woman travelling to Scotland by rail has defended her decision not to give up her seat on a busy train for an elderly woman.

The passenger hesitated to budge as she insisted she had booked her seat in advance and didn't think she should have to give it up. She explained she had been travelling from London to Aberdeen and that she decided to treat herself to a first-class ticket.

When she boarded the train, she discovered the seat she had been allocated was the first-class carriage's priority seat, which is usually reserved for people with mobility issues - and The Mirror reports when a woman of around 60 got on board, she demanded that she give up the seat for her.
