A woman has gone missing from a town in Inverclyde, sparking a police search.

Shona Geary vanished from the Berwick Road area of Port Glasgow at around 3.45pm on Friday, February 3. The 36-year-old has failed to make contact with friends or family since.

An investigation is now underway to trace Shona, with officers asking for the public's help as part of their ongoing enquiries.

Shona is described as being around 5ft 5in in height, of stocky build, with long straight dark hair. She was wearing a black Superdry jacket with a black top underneath, light blue jeans, black boots and glasses when she disappeared.

Anyone with any insight as to where Shona might be, or thinks they may have spotted her, should get in touch with cops immediately.

Sergeant Alyssa Fullelove-McCann said: “We are appealing for anyone who has seen Shona or who has any information on her whereabouts to contact us.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting reference 2680 of 3 February, 2023.
