A woman who left her dog at home while she went on a two-week holiday has been banned from keeping animals for 10 years. Jade Roberts, 26, admitted causing unnecessary suffering to the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, named Daisy, when she appeared in court.
The RSPCA received a call about Daisy's welfare in August 2021 and went to investigate. Inspector Leanne Cragg went to the home, in Botanic Place, Liverpool, only to find that the dog was already dead.
Daisy had last been alive on July 31, 2021, when Roberts went on holiday for 14 days, reports the LiverpoolECHO.
