Woman left dog to die in cage as she went on two week holiday

A woman has been banned from keeping animals for a decade after leaving her dog to die as she went on holiday.

Jade Roberts, 26, pleaded guilty to causing unnecessary suffering to a brindle coloured Staffordshire Bull Terrier called Daisy. The RSPCA investigated after receiving a call regarding the dog's welfare in August 2021.

When Inspector Leanne Cragg attended the property in Botanic Place, Liverpool, she found the dog was sadly already dead. Daisy had last been alive on July 31, 2021, when Roberts went on holiday for 14 days.
