Woman killed by tree as Storm Malik batters UK

A woman has died after strong winds from Storm Malik caused a tree to uproot and fall in Aberdeen.

Police Scotland confirmed that the extreme weather affecting the north of the UK had led to the death of a 60-year-old-woman this morning.

Winds of over 100mph have caused major disruption to travel and power supplies in parts of Scotland.
