A woman has suffered serious injuries after being knocked down in Anfield.
Police and ambulance crews were called to Walton Lane, at around 8.30am on Monday, February 6, after a reports of a crash. They found a woman had been knocked down by a Renault Clio, at the junction of Walton Lane and Anfield Road.
The woman was rushed to hospital with serious injuries. Police have since confirmed she remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition. The driver of the car stopped at the scene.

A spokesperson for Merseyside police said: "We are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Anfield this morning, Monday 6 February. At around 8.30am, emergency services were called to the junction of Walton Lane and Anfield Road to reports of a collision involving a Renault Clio and a female pedestrian.
"The pedestrian was taken to hospital for assessment of serious injuries. A road closure is in place at the junction of Anfield Road and Walton Breck Road as enquiries continue. The driver of the car stopped at the scene.
