A woman was rushed to hospital after being hit by a mobility scooter.
Emergency services headed to Lodge Lane in Toxteth at around 3.50pm on Wednesday, April 20, following reports of a crash. Once at the scene officers from Merseyside Police found a woman was hit by a mobility scooter on the road between Yanwath Street and Bentley Road.
The North West Ambulance Service were called to the scene and took the woman to hospital. A spokesperson from police has confirmed she was taken 'to be checked over'.

A spokesperson from Merseyside Police said: "We were called at 3.50pm to reports a female had been hit by a mobility scooter on Lodge Lane. The woman has been taken to hospital by ambulance to be checked over."
While emergency services responded to the incident traffic was struggling in the area. Traffic has since returned to normal.
