A woman was taken to hospital after being hit by a car on a main road.
Police closed Duke Street in St Helens on Friday, September 9, following a crash at the junction with North Road. Officers were called to the area just before 10pm to reports a pedestrian had been hit by a Mazda Antares.
The woman was reportedly on her way to Asda at the time of the incident. She was taken to hospital with injuries which were described as non life-threatening.

A cordon was put in place outside Geno's takeaway on Duke Street. Merseyside Police said the road was reopened at around 11.50pm.
