A woman says she has 'starved' herself for years and 'hides from people' in the street after a rare condition led to her gaining seven stone.
Stacey Dickens suffers from Stage 3 lipoedema, an illness which causes abnormal fat cells to build up across her body and leaves her in agonising pain. Due her health condition, the 32-year-old only eats one meal a day to try and prevent putting on more weight.
However, Stacey says others think she is 'just fat' and admits to avoiding being seen in public out of embarrassment. She also says that she will never get married or have children because of the illness, the Liverpool Echo reports.
