A woman with epilepsy said she has been accused of being drunk and even had her purse stolen while she was having a seizure in the street.
Rhiain Mort was diagnosed with the neurological condition 13 years ago, when her son was four, the Liverpool Echo reports. Since then, she said she has suffered 'extreme anxiety' due to her condition.
She has been unable to work and the condition has affected her memory, though she said it has affected her mental health more than anything. Rhiain, from Bootle in Merseyside, said she has been abused while having a seizure in public.
