With the cost of fuel rising dramatically in recent months, many have been watching the numbers on the petrol pump a lot more than usual.
However, one woman has gone viral online after sharing an unsuspecting button that many had no idea even existed.
Thinking it was just her that had discovered the trick, TikTok user @livticks posted a short clip of her at a local garage using what she described as a 'preset button.'

Quickly seeing thousands of reactions, it seems that many others also had no idea of the device, which allows you to dictate exactly how much fuel is put into your vehicle, reports the Mirror.
Speaking online, the 23-year-old said: "How did I never know this existed?!
"If you click this button two times ten for £20. It will stop itself at exactly £20.
"Wow! That's so cool."
Watching the screen, the cost and fuel count continued to rise until it hit exactly £20, with the preset cutting off any further fuel.
She also showed a close-up of the preset section on the bottom-right-hand side of the pump, which features five buttons of different price and litre options and an explanation for how to use them.
Having a huge reaction online, more than two million people watched the video, with over 164,000 liking it and thousands commenting on the "petrol life hack".

One person said: "Wait. You mean no more £20.01???"
Another replied to say that not all petrol stations have the button, but for the ones that do it's a "game-changer".
A third posted: "You can also set it to stop at a certain literage too. Tesco is the only ones I know with it tho."
"Always learning," proclaimed someone else.
A different user added: "I've never seen this."
