A woman seized an elderly man by the ankles and hauled him off a bench before sitting down and cracking open a can of cider.
Anna McDermott, from Toxteth, dragged the vulnerable man to the ground as he slept on a bench near Cow Lane Bridge in Chester on May 17, 2022. She then sat down "as if nothing had happened" and drank a can of Strongbow while her victim lay unresponsive on the ground.
At Liverpool Magistrates Court yesterday, June 21, she sobbed in the docks as she claimed: "That didn't happen."
