A sweaty but determined flyer decided to take matters into her own hands when it comes to expensive extra baggage fees on airlines.
When it comes to luggage, even being half a kilogram overweight can end up costing you quite a bit extra for many airlines, reports the Mirror.
People will be missing the days where you could get your bags checked in for free - but now, there are different policies in place for each airline when it comes to luggage.

Getting it wrong could prove costly, especially if you end up having to pay to check-in a bag. However, one woman by the name of Gel Rodriguez did infact get her airline's baggage policy wrong - but wasn't paying the extra charge.
Back in 2019 she went viral after revealing she had fallen foul of hand luggage rules - but she didn't let that issue stop her from boarding the plane without extra fees, as she had quite the solution.
Instead, the woman unzipped her hand luggage at the airport and piled on the layers before boarding the aeroplane.
By the time she was finished Gel was sporting an extra 2.5kg (5.5lbs) of clothing, a move which left her feeling "really hot". She ended up wearing at least three pairs of trousers or shorts, five shirts and three jackets.
At the time, Gel snapped a hilarious photo of her wearing all the clothes inside the airport, which has recently resurfaced online as people jet off to holiday destinations.
This unique solution came to light when check-in staff told Gel that her bag weighed 9kg, way over the 2kg limit for the airline.
The passenger, from Davao City in the Philippines, later told Vice: "I didn't want to pay the fee for the excess baggage because it was only two kilograms (4.4lbs).
"If I had known it would go viral, I would have posed better."
Despite getting away with the nifty trick, she did not recommend that other people tried it out. She said: "Maybe not. It was really hot. I don't recommend other people do it."
Those who are due to fly should be checking their airline's hand and hold luggage rules, so as to not get stuck in sticky situations themselves.
Budget airlines such as Ryanair and easyJet do charge extra fees if you want to bring a second cabin bag. Also, airlines like British Airways have different tiers of seats in economy that dictate the luggage allowance.
