A woman who "couldn't bear" to be parted with her cat has been found living in a hedge.
Gareth Olsen was clearing a field in Chester for a client when he was shocked to find the woman was sleeping rough in a makeshift 'home' among the overgrowth. The bewildered tree surgeon who discovered her was told that she couldn't bear to be parted from her cat, so she has set up camp in the hedge and has been living there for at least the last three years.
The woman, believed to be in her 50s, told him that any accommodation she had been found in the past would not accept her pet so she ended up living in a hedge. The worker said he couldn't believe the woman had managed to survive in these conditions, reported Cheshire Live.
