A body of a woman was found at a home in north Dublin.
The gruesome discovery happened in Raheny in the early hours of this morning. A man in his 50s has been arrested on suspicion of murder, a garda spokesman confirmed.
He is detained at a garda station in northside. The garda spokesman said: "A scene is currently held and the Garda Technical Bureau will conduct an examination. The body of the deceased remains at the scene.
"The office of the State Pathologist will be notified this morning."
