A woman is fighting for her life after being hit by a car while crossing the road in Oldham.
Emergency services rushed to the crash on Oldham Way at around 7.40pm last night (Wednesday).
A pedestrian - a 38-year-old woman - was struck by a Vauxhall Corsa as she was crossing the road, police said.
She was taken to hospital from the scene.

She remains there with life-threatening injuries in a critical condition.
The driver of the Corsa stopped at the scene to talk to police, GMP said.

Police cordoned off a stretch of Oldham Way last night as investigations were carried out.
The road was shut off westbound between Cross Street and Prince Street.
The Serious Collision Unit were pictured at the scene and one eyewitness told the M.E.N at least five police cars were in attendance.
At 4.45am, TfGM reported that the road had been reopened.
