A woman is still fighting for her life after falling from a nightclub fire escape last weekend.
Police and paramedics went to Hey Amigos, on West Street in Southport, after receiving calls for concern for the safety of a woman. on a 'balcony.' At the scene at around 2.33am, on Sunday, September 4, officers found that she had fallen from the fire escape of the club.
She was rushed to hospital, where police today confirmed she remains in a critical condition. No-one else is being sought in connection with the incident.

In a statement about the fall, a spokesperson for Hey Amigos said: "In light of recent events we just want to say all of our thoughts are with the young girl, her family and friends at this difficult time. We hope everyone can understand that this has shaken all of us and we can't comment or reply to messages about what's happened.
"However we can say we're doing everything we possibly can to help the Police and EHO with whatever they need." A Merseyside Police spokesperson said at the time: "We were called to reports over concern for safety at around 2.55am after a woman fell from a balcony. A woman in her 20s was taken to hospital where she is in a critical condition.
"Officers remain at the scene and we're not looking for anyone in connection to the incident."
