However, fewer people think online dating is safe, with the share dropping from 53% in 2019 to 48% in 2023. Women are less likely to feel safe on dating apps. However, men experience privacy violations as well.
One man, u/sinzirly_calv_n_wang, went viral after sharing how a woman leaked his personal information after they supposedly matched on an app. He revealed how she doxed him on an ‘Are We Dating The Same Guy’ online group after he ‘rejected’ her. The man, unwilling to put up with the bullying, decided to get revenge.
