Woman distraught as hair falls out in one day after bleaching disaster

A woman's hair catastrophe has gone viral with more than 59 million views on TikTok. In a video on the social media platform, the TikToker - who goes by the username Thestephseries - shows clumps of her hair falling out following an at-home bleach job, which did not go as well as she hoped.

In the caption, Steph tells her 517k followers: "I've never felt so ugly in my life, if anyone wants to send me a wig it would be appreciated #fyp #thestephseries #hair #sillysteph01 #bleaching #gonewrong #help." At the start of the video, she can be seen crying while explaining how her hair nightmare happened.

"Watch me lose all of my hair in a day," she says, before adding: "I just picked my hair up, that's what's come out so far so I quit pulling it out." Showing the camera a heap of wet blonde hair in her hand, she continues: "That was just one little tug.

"So, all my hair is going to come out. I was so happy that my hair was getting so long. I don't even know what it's going to look like." She then tearfully reveals that she has a birthday party the next day to attend.

After towel drying her hair slightly, Steph then shows viewers a close-up shot of her hair out of the shower. "It's all gonna fall out," she adds. "It's so like not even connected and I just put it in a bun on top of my head because I didn't want it to fall out, not gonna lie."

Holding the ends of her damp hair, Steph then tells her followers: "Honestly, this is not even hanging on." The video then cuts to her pulling even more clumps of her hair out and piling the wet strands on top of each other.

She ends the video in silence after stating: "Maybe I'll end up with no hair at all, maybe I'll be bald." After sharing her horrendous hair saga, thousands flocked to the comment section to react.

Lisa simply replied: "The way I gasped. Laceyschafferr said: "NO OMG." Lala argued: "Wetting it more & pulling it wasn’t the brightest idea." Brittney Weston typed: "NOOOOOOOOOO QUEEN NOOOO!!"

Fortunately, expert hair stylists and colourists Alfredo Lewis and Alex Pardoe came to Steph's rescue and posted their own response video. They even said they'd pay for her flight to Beverly Hills so they can repair her damaged hair.

“We want to help get your hair back on track. And get you to those long, summer blonde hair goals," Alex tells her in the clip.

Steph went on to gladly accept the generous offer. “I have to be dreaming," she told them. Fans are eagerly awaiting Steph's appointment with the stylists. In the meantime, Luna Bugs & Dobby commented: "Yall are truly some beautiful souls for helping her." User1176218770195 added: "What a beautiful blessing! Thank you guys so much for helping her!"
