A woman was horrified to find that her own boyfriend of two years had repeatedly raped her in her sleep and filmed it.
The woman had suspicions her fiancé was seeing other women so decided to log into his email account - where she found the twisted videos.
In nine emails, sent between his work and personal accounts, he could be seen carrying out a series of sexual assaults while she was fast asleep.
While some of the videos were brief, lasting just seconds, there was one video that went on for 12 minutes, a court was told.
It was easy for the victim to identify herself by checking her tattoos.
The pair had been together for around two years and the 34-year-old defendent - who can't be named for legal reasons - has two children and works as a carpenter.
Appearing at Victoria County Court, Australia, he admitted seven counts of rape and another 21 counts of sexual assault without his victim's knowledge.
According to local media, he pleaded guilty yesterday - but only to three charges of sexual assault and two charges of rape.
He confessed that on the morning of September 19, 2020, he caressed, undressed and then raped his girlfriend while she slept.
He offended again the same night, and then on October 17, 2020.
The victim, from Melbourne, has expressed the disgust she felt over being betrayed by someone so close to her, adding that she felt violated.
She said: "I have no idea how I am supposed to trust anyone in an intimate relationship again in future."
The woman, who is not being named, added that she was gutted to be losing the relationship she had with her attacker's children .
She said she "had come to think of her partner's family as her own."
In mitigation, 10 people provided references to his good character.

Appearing via video link, his lawyers said the man was suffering from anxiety brought on by fears about how time in prison would affect his two daughters and family.
A psychologist said he "had an unreasonable apprehension of what consent was and what it wasn’t at the time of offending".
The man is to be sentenced at a later hearing.
