A woman has died following a fatal on-car crash on a Johnstone road in the early hours of this morning.
The crash happened at around 3.30am today (Thursday, September 15) on Beith Road at the junction with Overton Road. A blue Vauxhall Astra was involved in a collision with a wall.
The 31-year-old driver, the only occupant of the car, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where she was sadly pronounced dead.

Emergency services rushed to the scene shortly after the incident and the road was closed while crash investigations were carried out and re-opened around 7am.
Sergeant James Crawford, Renfrewshire and Inverclyde Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the family.
“I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen the car before the crash to get in touch with us. Likewise, anyone who may have dashcam footage of that area please review it and contact police with anything that may be relevant.”
