A woman has died after being involved in a car crash in the Borders.
The 55-year-old passed away after her vehicle left the road on the B6404 between St. Boswells and Kelso on Friday afternoon.
Police Scotland is now appealing for information on the incident, which took place around 3.20pm.
The woman was taken by ambulance to Borders General Hospital for treatment and later passed away.
Officers closed the road while recovering the vehicle and investigating what had happened, and the road was reopened at 10pm last night.
Sergeant Jill Kirkpatrick said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the woman who died in this incident.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of what happened and we are appealing to anyone who may have information that could help to get in touch.
“In particular we are asking for those driving in the area around the time of the crash to get in touch. If you have any dash-cam footage that could assist then please contact us.”
